***1-Year Contract*

• Legal Counsel – Fashion Industry – Montreal (Hybrid)**

Our client is seeking a business-oriented Legal Counsel to join its legal team on a one-year contract basis. While it is a one-year contract, the hire is still entitled to 5+ weeks of paid vacation.

Based in Montreal (3 days/week onsite), this role will support Canadian and U.S. operations on a broad range of commercial, regulatory, and compliance matters, including contracts, intellectual property, privacy, consumer protection, product compliance, and supply chain initiatives.

Requirements

• Member in good standing of the Quebec Bar.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in private practice and/or an in-house legal department.
• Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and exercise sound judgment.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and deadline management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including procurement, licensing, marketing, technology, intellectual property, and supply chain contracts.
• Provide legal and compliance guidance to cross-functional teams.
• Identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risks while supporting business objectives.
• Deliver legal and compliance training to internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with legal and business teams on strategic initiatives and day-to-day matters.
