The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a

Commercial Lawyer / Legal Counsel

to join a highly regarded in-house legal team within a well-known, purpose-led organisation.

Working closely with the

General Counsel, Senior Legal Counsel and wider Legal \& Governance team

, you'll provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal support across a diverse range of business matters.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified

Solicitor or Legal Executive

looking to broaden their experience, make their first move in-house, or continue developing within a collaborative legal environment where no two days are the same.

Unlike private practice, this role offers genuine breadth. You'll work across commercial contracts, business projects, data protection, procurement and stakeholder advisory matters, becoming a trusted legal partner to teams across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

You'll support the legal team across a broad range of commercial and operational matters, including:

📌 Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, supplier agreements, terms \& conditions and NDAs

📌 Advising stakeholders on legal and commercial risk

📌 Supporting procurement and supplier arrangements

📌 Assisting with strategic projects and organisational initiatives

📌 Supporting data protection, governance and information-sharing matters

📌 Providing practical, business-focused legal advice across the organisation

📌 Developing and maintaining legal templates, precedents and best practice guidance

📌 Working closely with colleagues across procurement, operations, commercial and corporate functions

This is a role where you'll be encouraged to use your judgement, build trusted relationships and develop into a well-rounded in-house legal professional.

About You

We're keen to speak with qualified

Solicitors or Legal Executives

who have experience advising on commercial legal matters.

You may currently be:

✔️ Commercial Contracts Solicitor

✔️ Commercial Associate

✔️ Corporate \& Commercial Solicitor

✔️ In-House Legal Advisor

✔️ Legal Executive with commercial experience

Most importantly, you'll be:

✅ Pragmatic and commercially minded

✅ Comfortable balancing legal risk with business objectives

✅ Confident communicating with non-legal stakeholders

✅ Keen to learn and broaden your experience

✅ Able to manage a varied workload with a degree of autonomy

✅ Collaborative, approachable and solutions-focused

Previous in-house experience would be advantageous, but candidates making their

first move from private practice are strongly encouraged to apply.
