Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a commercially minded legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and enjoys partnering with business teams to solve complex legal and commercial challenges.

This is a hands-on, business-facing role spanning commercial contracting, procurement, technology, aircraft and OEM transactions, ground handling, and regulatory and compliance matters. You will translate complex legal requirements into clear, actionable guidance across a dynamic business, identifying, assessing and mitigating risk while helping teams move at pace.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Transactions \& Contract Management

  • Drafting, review, negotiation and execution of complex commercial agreements, including ground handling, aircraft and OEM, IT/SaaS, vendor and procurement contracts, NDAs and strategic partnerships, ensuring commercially balanced outcomes while protecting the company’s legal and commercial interests.
  • Partner with procurement and business teams throughout the sourcing lifecycle, advising on legal and commercial structures, negotiating key contractual positions and facilitating the efficient execution of strategic procurements.

Business Partnering

  • Act as a strategic legal partner to assigned business areas, developing a deep understanding of the company’s operations and strategic objectives and translating them into practical, commercially balanced solutions.
  • Advise senior stakeholders on legal and regulatory exposure, providing risk-calibrated recommendations that support sound, well-informed decision-making.

Operational Support

  • Advise on operational issues, incidents and business initiatives, providing clear, practical guidance to enable effective business decision-making.

Regulatory \& Compliance

  • Champion compliance across the business, including the company’s Code of Conduct and data-protection obligations under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting the aviation sector, proactively assessing their impact on the business and recommending appropriate legal, operational and compliance responses.
  • Shape and continuously improve internal legal processes, policies and templates to reduce risk and support the company’s continued growth and scale.

Qualifications

  • A qualified lawyer (LLB or equivalent) from a reputable university.
  • 5–7 years’ post-qualification experience, with a strong corporate and commercial background gained at a reputed law firm, multinational organisation or high-performing in-house legal team. Experience in aviation, infrastructure, transportation or other highly regulated industries is considered an advantage.
  • A track record of leading the drafting and negotiation of complex commercial contracts across categories.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously in a fast-paced business.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong commercial judgment and business acumen.
  • Exceptional drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management across senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • The ability to identify legal risk while enabling commercial objectives.
  • A high degree of ownership, accountability and sound professional judgment.
  • Clear and persuasive written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative, adaptable and resilient, with a solutions-oriented mindset.
