Legal Counsel

**Legal :** 1. **Legal Advisory** : Provide legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on a wide range of legal matters, including but not limited to factory\-related laws, corporate laws and other regulatory compliances. 2. **Contract Review and Negotiation** : Review, draft and negotiate various contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies and protecting the company’s interests. 3. **Risk Management** : Identify and mitigate potential legal risks and provide proactive solutions to minimize legal exposure for the company. 4. **Statutory Compliance** : Stay updated with relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance across all business functions. 5. **Dispute Resolution \& litigation** : Assist in managing and resolving disputes and engaging external counsel when necessary. 6. **Legal Documentation** : Prepare and maintain legal documentation, including contracts, policies and other legal records. **SKILLS** 1. **Legal Knowledge** : A strong foundation in legal principles and a comprehensive understanding of contracts, relevant laws and regulations and regulatory compliance – take ownership of your role 2. **Analytical Skills** : The ability to analyze complex legal and compliance issues, identify potential risks, and develop practical solutions is crucial. 3. **Communication Skills** : Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English \& Tamil) to effectively communicate legal and compliance requirements to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Ability to objectively take a stand to defend the ‘red lines’ regardless of hierarchy. 4. **Attention to Detail** : A keen eye for detail in reviewing and analyzing legal documents, contracts, policies, and compliance reports, ensuring excellent results for BSH 5. **Problem\-Solving Abilities** : Strong problem\-solving skills to address legal and compliance challenges effectively. The ability to think critically and independently and develop creative solutions is essential in navigating complex legal and regulatory landscapes. 6. **Business Acumen** : Understanding the business operations, objectives, and industry dynamics in order to align legal and compliance strategies with the company's goals and contribute to the overall success of the organization. 7. **Integrity** : Demonstrated high levels of ethical and professional conduct, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional standards. 8. **Data driven \& tech savvy** : ability to act concretely based on data and adaptable to new digital technologies. **Qualifications \& Experience** : * Qualified lawyer in India, ideally master’s degree in law, excellent English \& Tamil is a must, * 2 to 4 years of working experience in an in a manufacturing set up. * Experience in commercial, regulatory, corporate, statutory corporate compliances.
