Legal Counsel

***Key Accountabilities*** *(Includes, but not limited to the following)* ***:*** **1\. Legal Advisory \& Business Support** * Provide timely and practical legal advice to all business units (Retail, Mall Operations, Multiverse, F\&B, Engineering) * Support leadership on legal implications of strategic decisions, partnerships, and investments **2\. Contract Management \& Governance** * Draft, review, and negotiate: o   Commercial agreements o   Leasing contracts (DOM, retail tenants) o   Vendor and service agreements o   Partnerships and joint ventures * Standardize legal templates and ensure consistency across the group **3\. Risk Management \& Compliance** * Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks across all entities * Ensure compliance with UAE laws, regulations, and licensing requirements * Support implementation of governance frameworks and internal controls **4\. Disputes \& Legal Exposure** * Manage disputes, claims, and potential litigation * Liaise with and manage external law firms where required * Provide proactive risk advice to prevent escalation **5\. Policy \& Framework Development** * Develop and implement legal policies, SOPs, and approval frameworks * Support HR, Procurement, and Finance with compliant structures and documentation **6\. Cross\-Functional Collaboration** * Work closely with: o   Procurement (vendor contracts) o   Finance (financial risk exposure) o   HR (employment/legal matters) o   Commercial \& Retail (leasing and tenant agreements) **Competencies** Strong commercial and business\-oriented mindset High level of integrity and confidentiality Risk awareness and proactive problem\-solving Strong negotiation and influencing skills Ability to operate independently in a lean environment **Experience** : 6–10 years of legal experience UAE/GCC experience strongly preferred Experience in commercial, corporate, and contract law Experience in multi\-entity / holding group / real estate / retail / entertainment environments is highly preferred
