Legal Advisor

GG Selection is partnering with a well\-established UAE government\-related entity to identify a Legal Advisor to join its corporate legal team. Our client is a diversified organisation with interests spanning multiple sectors, and is experiencing a period of significant growth and commercial expansion. The Legal Advisor will report to the General Counsel and will be responsible for providing day\-to\-day legal support across the organisation’s corporate and commercial activities. This is an ideal role for a lawyer at advisor or manager level who is looking to broaden their in\-house experience within a high\-profile entity. Key Responsibilities * Provide legal advice on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including contracts, procurement, partnerships, and commercial arrangements * Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including service contracts, NDAs, MOUs, licensing arrangements, and vendor agreements * Support corporate governance activities including preparation of board papers, resolutions, and compliance with regulatory requirements * Advise business units on legal risks and provide practical, commercially oriented guidance to internal stakeholders * Assist with joint venture and partnership structuring, due diligence, and transactional support as required * Manage relationships with external legal counsel, ensuring timely delivery, cost control, and quality of advice * Monitor changes in UAE and GCC legislation and regulation relevant to the organisation’s activities, and advise on implications * Support the development and maintenance of internal legal policies, standard templates, and contract management processes * Handle day\-to\-day legal queries from across the organisation, acting as a trusted internal advisor Candidate Profile * Qualified lawyer with 6–10 years’ post\-qualification experience in corporate and commercial law * A combination of private practice and in\-house experience is preferred; candidates from top\-tier law firms looking to transition in\-house are also encouraged to apply * Experience working with or within UAE government entities, semi\-government organisations, or GREs is highly desirable * Strong contract drafting, review, and negotiation skills across a range of commercial agreements * Sound understanding of UAE commercial law; familiarity with ADGM or DIFC regulatory frameworks is advantageous * Ability to provide clear, practical legal advice that balances risk management with commercial objectives * Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to advise and engage with stakeholders at all levels * LLB or equivalent law degree required; LLM in Corporate Law, Commercial Law, or International Business Law preferred * Fluency in English required; Arabic is a strong advantage What Our Client Offers * A varied and stimulating in\-house legal role within a respected UAE government related entity * Broad exposure across corporate, commercial, governance, and transactional work * Competitive compensation package aligned with government\-related entity standards, including attractive benefits * A professional, collaborative working environment with genuine opportunities for career progression * The opportunity to develop as a well\-rounded in\-house lawyer within one of the UAE’s most dynamic organisations How to Apply This search is being conducted exclusively by GG Selection.
