**Position Overview**
The successful candidate will provide foundational instruction in literacy, mathematics, and social\-emotional development, ensuring that all students build the essential skills necessary for long\-term academic success. The position requires a strong understanding of early childhood development and differentiated instruction.
**Qualifications**
* Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate
* Must possess (or be eligible for) an Elementary Teaching Endorsement (e.g., K–5 All Subjects or equivalent)
* Knowledge of early literacy development and foundational math instruction
* Strong classroom management and relationship\-building skills
* Commitment to meeting the diverse needs of all learners
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience teaching at the early elementary level (K–2\)
* Training in literacy best practices (e.g., phonics\-based instruction, MTSS/RTI frameworks)
* Experience with data\-driven instruction and progress monitoring
* Familiarity with trauma\-informed practices and whole\-child approaches
**Responsibilities**
* Plan and deliver engaging, standards\-aligned instruction in all core subject areas
* Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
* Assess student progress and use data to inform instruction
* Communicate regularly with parents and guardians
* Collaborate with colleagues, interventionists, and support staff
* Participate in school improvement efforts and professional development
**Compensation \& Benefits**
* Salary and benefits per the Brimley Education Association Master Agreement
