This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Key Account Manager, Retail Sales (Residential) based in Canada.

This role is focused on driving growth across residential consumer electronics products within the Canadian retail landscape. You will be responsible for expanding distribution, strengthening strategic retail partnerships, and accelerating sales performance across both physical and digital channels. Acting as a key commercial owner, you will manage relationships with retail buyers, category managers, and merchandising teams while identifying new opportunities for market expansion. The role blends business development, account management, and retail execution, requiring strong commercial judgment and a deep understanding of retail ecosystems. You will also play a central role in forecasting, promotional planning, and ensuring strong product availability across channels. This is a high-impact position for someone who thrives in relationship-driven, performance-focused retail environments.

Accountabilities You will be responsible for driving retail growth, managing strategic accounts, and executing go-to-market initiatives that expand product visibility and sales performance across Canada. This includes ownership of the full account lifecycle, from prospecting and onboarding through ongoing growth and optimization.

  • Identify, develop, and secure new retail partnerships while expanding existing accounts across Canada
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail buyers, category managers, and merchandising teams
  • Develop and execute account strategies to grow distribution, market share, and revenue across omnichannel retail environments
  • Manage the full sales cycle including prospecting, onboarding, product launches, and long-term account growth
  • Create business plans, conduct retail reviews, and deliver executive-level presentations to partners
  • Collaborate on promotional, pricing, merchandising, and marketing initiatives to drive sell-through performance
  • Develop forecasts and demand plans while coordinating with supply chain teams on inventory and replenishment
  • Manage co-op marketing investments and promotional budgets to maximize ROI
  • Partner cross-functionally with marketing, operations, product, and supply chain teams on retail initiatives
  • Represent the organization at trade shows, industry events, and partner meetings

Requirements You bring strong experience in retail sales and key account management, ideally within consumer electronics or related product categories. You are commercially driven, highly relationship-focused, and comfortable managing complex retail ecosystems across multiple channels.

  • 5+ years of experience in retail sales, key account management, or channel sales
  • Strong background in consumer electronics, connected devices, smart home, or similar product categories
  • Proven success in opening new retail accounts and growing distribution from the ground up
  • Experience working with Canadian retailers, distributors, and category buyers
  • Strong understanding of retail buying cycles, merchandising, and channel strategy
  • Experience managing both in-store and eCommerce retail channels
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
  • Ability to travel across Canada and occasionally to the United States
  • Strong commercial mindset with a consistent track record of revenue growth
