Job Description
Develop and execute the Sales plan for the Modern Trade / Key Accounts and achieve the sales volume, market share, margin, market execution and customer service objectives through effective leadership and maximum utilization of the MT sales team (Supervisors, Salesman, Merchandisers)
**Responsibilities**
* Develop and execute modern trade strategies to drive sales and market share of frozen food products across key retail chains.
* Build and manage strong relationships with key modern trade accounts (e.g., Carrefour, Lulu) to ensure business growth and visibility.
* Lead annual negotiations for trading terms, shelf space, business development plans, and promotional support with modern trade partners and ensure rationalization of spend
* Plan and implement trade marketing initiatives, including in\-store promotions, sampling, and visibility campaigns to increase consumer off\-take.
* Monitor and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets in alignment with Al Islami goals.
* Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure product availability, on\-time deliveries, and cold chain compliance across stores.
* Analyze sales data, category performance, and store\-level execution to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
* Track competitor activity, pricing, promotions, and market trends to support strategic decision\-making.
* Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, finance, demand planning) to optimize product launches, promotions, and pricing strategies.
* Manage and coach field sales supervisors, salesman and merchandisers to ensure excellence in in\-store execution and adherence to brand guidelines.
* Ensure proper roll out and sustain the implementation of Best Practice Tools within the modern trade
* Assess the Modern sales staffing and skill requirements. Develop plans to address short and long\-term needs
**Qualifications**
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)
* 10–15 years of relevant experience in FMCG, with at least 4–5 years in modern trade or frozen foods.
* Strong Negotiations \& Presentation skills
* Managed front\-line performers
* Skilled in using sales data and insights to drive business decisions and optimize account performance.
* Ability to plan and execute in\-store promotions, visibility campaigns, and achieve volume and value targets.
