Role Overview

The Junior Web Developer supports the technical development and maintenance of Feynlab's websites and internal web-based tools, working under the direction of the Web Developer \& IT Support Lead. This is a hands-on role with real ownership of tasks from day one. The ideal candidate is technically capable, eager to learn, takes initiative, and is comfortable working across multiple functions in a fast-moving international company.

This role is part of a small, high-accountability team. The expectation is not just to complete tasks but to understand them, document the work, and flag issues early. Independent thinking and problem-solving are valued as much as technical skill.

Key Responsibilities

Website Development \& Maintenance

• Build and update web pages, landing pages, web features, and plugins as directed
• Maintain and improve existing Feynlab websites across all regions
• Troubleshoot and resolve website bugs, broken links, and performance issues
• Ensure websites are functional, on-brand, and up to date
• Test web builds across browsers and devices to ensure compatibility and responsiveness

Web Support for Marketing

In addition to primary responsibilities, this role assists with technical web support for the marketing team as directed by the Senior Developer.

• Build and update web pages required by the marketing team including landing pages, product pages, and campaign pages
• Support implementation of tracking tools and campaign assets as directed
• Ensure pages built meet performance standards - fast, responsive, and cross-browser compatible
• Flag any issues that may impact marketing campaign performance or page quality

Internal Web Application Support

Feynlab is developing a suite of internal web-based tools under CEO leadership - including a proprietary CRM, a project and task management platform, and an R\&D application. This role supports the testing, maintenance, and improvement of these tools.

• Support testing and quality assurance for Feynlab's internal web-based applications
• Report bugs and issues clearly with documentation of steps to reproduce
• Assist with feature updates and UI improvements as directed
• Use AI-assisted code writing tools where appropriate to support development tasks

IT Support

• Provide first-line IT support for Feynlab employees across all locations as directed by the Senior Developer
• Assist with hardware, software, email, and general office technology troubleshooting
• Support IT onboarding for new employees including account setup, device configuration, and software access
• Maintain IT asset records and user access logs accurately
• Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the Senior Developer promptly

Documentation

• Document completed work, recurring issues, and their resolutions clearly and promptly
• Contribute to IT and technical documentation in Feynbase, Feynlab's internal knowledge hub
• Follow documentation standards set by the Senior Developer
• Share resolutions so the wider team benefits - do not solve the same problem twice

Website Compliance

• Support the Senior Developer in maintaining website compliance across all markets
• Flag any compliance gaps identified during website maintenance or testing

Professional Development

• Take ownership of your own learning and stay current with relevant web technologies
• Complete any training or certifications agreed with your manager
• Actively seek feedback and apply it

• Tasks are completed accurately, on time, and with minimal rework
• Issues are identified proactively - not waited on or left for someone else
• When something goes wrong, it is corrected, documented, and shared
• IT support requests are handled efficiently and employees are unblocked quickly
• Documentation is clear, current, and useful to others
• The Senior Developer can delegate with confidence
• You are growing - taking on more independently with each passing month

Education

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field is preferred
• For UAE visa and work permit purposes, a degree attested by the relevant authorities may be required under MOHRE guidelines

Skills \& Experience

Required

• Working knowledge of front-end web technologies - HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Practical experience with WordPress is essential - minimum 1-2 years. The role requires working knowledge of WordPress and WooCommerce as Feynlab operates fully functional eCommerce sites, not standard CMS websites
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug website issues independently
• Basic understanding of how websites are hosted, deployed, and managed
• Comfortable using browser developer tools
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Clear written communication in English
• Organised, reliable, and responsive

Preferred

• Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or similar tracking tools
• Experience with other CMS platforms (Webflow, Shopify, or similar) is an advantage
• Exposure to any back-end language or framework (PHP, Python, Node.js)
• Experience with version control - Git or similar
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar)
• Experience supporting internal tools or business applications
• Basic understanding of web compliance requirements (cookies, privacy, GDPR)
• IT support experience or exposure
