Due to our continued growth, we are now recruiting for a **Java Backend Developer** to join our team in Gothenburg, Sweden. The role We are looking for a motivated Java Backend Developer at an early stage of their career to join one of our highly skilled agile teams developing cloud\-based software solutions. In this role, your primary focus will be to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain parts of the next‑generation cloud backend that supports connected and remote functionalities. You will work with modern tools, microservices architecture, and cloud technologies, while collaborating closely with experienced colleagues. This role offers strong learning opportunities, technical growth, and exposure to cutting‑edge digital solutions. You will also have the opportunity, if interested, to broaden your skills by exploring related system areas such as mobile applications or embedded systems. Responsibilities * Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain cloud backend services using Java * Contribute to microservices‑based cloud solutions * Work as part of an agile, cross‑functional development team * Ensure high code quality, reliability, and performance * Collaborate with team members to continuously improve ways of working * Participate in DevOps practices and use of modern development tools Experience / Background * Less than 5 years of relevant experience in backend development * Strong knowledge of **Java** programming * Experience with **cloud backend development** (AWS or Azure) * Hands‑on experience with **Spring Boot** and **microservices architecture** * Experience working with **SQL databases** (PostgreSQL, Cassandra, or similar) * Familiarity with **Kubernetes** and **Docker** * Comfortable working with **Git** and **Jira** * Fluent in English, both written and spoken * Valid driving license in Sweden Meritorious skills * REST and/or gRPC APIs * Monitoring and incident tools such as **Grafana** and **PagerDuty** * **Kafka** and event‑driven architectures * **MQTT** * **Postman** Personal profile * Proactive, structured, and eager to learn * Strong communication and analytical skills * Problem‑solver with a positive and flexible mindset * Team player who enjoys collaboration and knowledge sharing * Self‑driven and able to work both independently and as part of a team If you are passionate about bringing innovation to the projects, you work on then we would love to hear from you. **Tata Technologies: Engineering a better world.** Tata Technologies would like to thank all applicants for their interest; each application will be reviewed against the set criteria for the role.
