We're hiring a Logistics Officer to take ownership of inventory accuracy in our Odoo ERP. This is a detail-driven, investigative role: you'll track stock movements, hunt down discrepancies between physical and system quantities, trace transaction history to find where things went wrong, and flag problems before they become losses. A finance background matters here because inventory in Odoo connects directly to purchase orders, vendor bills, and stock valuation — you'll be reading and reconciling all of them.
What makes this role different
Most entry-level finance roles are data entry. This one is analytical. Every discrepancy is a small investigation: what moved, when, on whose authorization, and why the numbers don't agree. We want someone genuinely intelligent and curious — the kind of person who isn't satisfied until they've found the actual cause rather than just adjusting the number.
You'll also gain hands-on ERP experience across the full procure-to-stock cycle, which is a strong technical foundation for a finance career.
What you'll do
- Record and monitor daily inventory transactions in Odoo — receipts, deliveries, transfers, adjustments, and returns
- Reconcile physical stock counts against system quantities and investigate every variance to root cause
- Trace stock movement history to identify where errors, mis-postings, or unauthorized movements originated
- Match purchase orders, vendor bills, and goods receipts; flag mismatches in quantity, pricing, or documentation
- Reconcile stock entries with the accounting ledger and support stock valuation accuracy
- Maintain serial number and warranty tracking for products where applicable
- Conduct scheduled cycle counts and support periodic physical stock audits
- Monitor slow-moving, damaged, and obsolete stock and report on it
- Run compliance checks to ensure adherence to inventory and financial control policies
- Provide weekly reporting on discrepancies, stock health, and corrective actions taken
- Support import and sales-related stock transactions
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business, or a related field
- Genuinely analytical — able to trace a problem backwards through records rather than just recording the outcome
- Strong Excel skills; comfortable working with large data sets and reconciliations
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Odoo experience is an advantage, but we will train)
- Meticulous attention to detail and a low tolerance for numbers that don't add up
- Able to work independently, follow up persistently, and communicate findings clearly
- Willingness to spend time in the warehouse, not only at a desk
