Job Description

To support our ambitious growth, we are looking for passionate, commercial, talented, and ambitious individuals to help us grow our Beauty Brands. As part of our growing team, we are seeking a highly organized and commercially driven Accounts Manager for Indie boutiques. You will manage 3 to 4 brands in our portfolio and work closely with the Sales Director to help develop the distribution and revenue of multiple brands in North American independent stores and by fostering the relationship with existing accounts as well as opening new ones.

You'll work in a fast paced and dynamic environment and have the opportunity to work on all functions of accelerating the revenue with independent accounts such as perfumeries, apothecaries and spas. About us: Climax Beauty’s founder, Benoit Harpin has over 15 years of experience scaling beauty companies in the US. In 2022, he branched out to pursue his own vision to create Climax Beauty, a wholesale accelerator. Climax Beauty has partnered with multiple beauty brands, supporting their wholesale businesses and is a consulting partner to those seeking guidance in specific channels of retail.

Location: New York City, hybrid

Starting date: As soon as possible

Pay range: $70,000 to $80,000

Reports to: Sales Director

Your missions will include:

Existing Account Management – 50%

  • Use tools such as Faire to support scalable new business acquisition and manage POs for existing accounts.
  • Build and develop strategic assortments, bundles, and recommended opening orders (including testers and sampling).
  • Partner with retailer buying teams on seasonal planning, assortment strategy, and new launches.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners, understanding their commercial priorities and strategic goals.
  • Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets across assigned accounts.
  • Accurately report and forecast sales performance, including promotional activity and growth opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to expand distribution, optimize performance, and increase retail footprint.
  • Execute retail marketing initiatives to support successful launches and ongoing business (e.g. window displays, sampling, partnerships, training).
  • Identify and coordinate internal support required to secure new business and drive account growth.

Lead Management \& Strategy – 30%

  • Own and continuously optimize the leads list, ensuring prospects are relevant, productive, and aligned with brand strategy.
  • Qualify and prioritize leads to maximize conversion and long-term partner value.
  • Lead, organize and attend major tradeshows and showrooms, as well as serve as the main point of contact for showrooms regional reps.
  • Refine lead strategies to drive efficient target attainment (e.g. priority states, retailer types).
  • Set and monitor qualitative KPIs for outreach, including quality of contacts, brand fit, and messaging relevance.
  • Ensure all outreach reflects brand values, positioning, and long-term retail strategy.

People Management \& Leadership – 20%

  • Directly manage and support a Business Development Manager (BDM), providing clear direction, regular 1:1s, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Delegate day-to-day outreach and administrative tasks to enable focus on higher-value strategic initiatives.
  • Coach the BDM to hit individual and team targets through structured outreach, prioritization, and pipeline management.
  • Support the team in achieving revenue and account targets through proactive planning and execution.

Skills

·      4+ year’s experience in sales with proven success with independent accounts.

·      Experience in consulting with business owners and ability to create strong relationship with our partners.

·      Experience with Faire and HubSpot a huge plus.

·      Strong entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work independently while in a very small team.

·      Sell in and Sell-through oriented.

·      Strong ability to organize, prioritize, follow-up and meet deadlines.

·      Experience with tradeshows a plus

·      Structured mind with a high multi-tasking ability.

·      Creative and problem solver with top class trouble shooting skills.

·      High level of IT literacy, (especially Excel and Outlook).

·      Interpersonal skills.

·      Ability to travel within the US
