Human Resources, Training and Admin Manager
Champion Plastics(India) Private Limited
British Indian Ocean Territory
Job Description
Role Description
Champion Plastics is hiring an HR, Training \& Admin Manager for our Hosur / SIPCOT facility. This is a full-time, on-site role for a practical factory HR professional who can work close to the shopfloor and help build the people systems required for our next phase of manufacturing growth.
The primary focus of this role is to address operator-level and shopfloor-level manpower challenges by creating reliable hiring pipelines, improving onboarding quality, supporting retention, and ensuring that the right people are available to keep production stable, disciplined, and consistent.
The second major focus is to help build a strong middle-management layer across the organization. This includes identifying, recruiting, onboarding, and evaluating supervisors, leads, executives, and managers who can take ownership of daily execution and reduce dependency on top management for routine operational issues.
The ideal candidate should have strong factory HR experience and a clear understanding of manpower-intensive manufacturing environments. This person will be responsible for building and managing HR, training, and workforce-management systems across recruitment, onboarding, manpower planning, attendance, payroll inputs, compliance coordination, employee communication, retention, welfare, and administration.
This role is not limited to routine HR administration. We are looking for someone who can bring structure to hiring, improve workforce discipline, strengthen shopfloor training, maintain reliable HR documentation, and use HRMS or workforce-management tools to improve execution across the factory.
Key Responsibilities
- Build reliable hiring pipelines for operators, laborers, technicians, supervisors, leads, executives, and managers.
- Lead recruitment, screening, interviewing, selection, and onboarding for shopfloor and middle-management roles.
- Create structured interview modules, screening criteria, skill evaluation templates, and candidate assessment methods.
- Work with production, quality, maintenance, and administration teams to understand manpower requirements and ensure shift coverage.
- Support manpower planning by tracking vacancies, absenteeism, attrition, skill gaps, and workforce availability.
- Improve onboarding processes so new operators and staff understand role expectations, safety requirements, shopfloor discipline, and company standards.
- Coordinate induction, safety training, shopfloor training records, refresher training calendars, and employee documentation.
- Support retention initiatives, welfare activities, discipline management, grievance handling, and employee communication.
- Own attendance management, payroll inputs, statutory compliance coordination, personnel records, contractor/labor coordination, and HR administration.
- Implement or administer HRMS, attendance systems, workforce-management tools, Excel trackers, and HR dashboards.
- Help build a dependable middle-management layer by supporting hiring, evaluation, onboarding, and performance tracking for key operational roles.
- Work closely with top management to convert people-related requirements into structured hiring, training, and workforce-management routines.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 10 years of factory HR experience, preferably in manpower-intensive manufacturing environments.
- Strong experience in operator hiring, shopfloor manpower planning, attendance management, payroll inputs, labor coordination, statutory compliance, and HR administration.
- Proven ability to source, evaluate, and hire operator-level, technician-level, supervisor-level, and middle-management talent.
- Experience creating structured recruitment processes, including interview modules, screening criteria, candidate evaluation templates, and skill assessment methods.
- Practical understanding of shopfloor workforce challenges, including labor shortage, absenteeism, attrition, retention, discipline, and shift coverage.
- Ability to work closely with production and operations teams to understand real manpower requirements and hire candidates who fit the role.
- Experience supporting onboarding, induction, safety training, shopfloor training records, and refresher training calendars.
- Comfortable using Excel, HRMS, ERP, attendance systems, or workforce-management software for tracking, reporting, and planning.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with operators, technicians, supervisors, managers, contractors, and external hiring partners.
- Hindi communication capability is strongly preferred for interaction with North Indian operators. Tamil or Kannada is an added advantage for local workforce interaction.
- MBA HR, MSW, MHRM, BBA/BBM HR, or an equivalent HR qualification is preferred.
- Prior manufacturing HR experience in Hosur, Bengaluru industrial belt, or similar factory clusters is preferred.
