Human Resources Manager
for a fully in-office position located on the
south side of Edmonton
within the
manufacturing and engineering industry
.

This is a
newly created Human Resources Manager
position, designed to support the company's ongoing growth plans. The successful candidate will provide strategic and hands-on HR leadership while building and enhancing people programs, strengthening recruitment efforts, supporting leaders, and helping create a positive employee experience across the organization.
Human Resources Manager responsibilities:
- Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts across the organization, with a strong focus on attracting and retaining talent
- Oversee HR programs, policies, and initiatives that support organizational growth and employee engagement
- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders by providing coaching, guidance, and support on people-related matters
- Monitor employee retention trends and develop strategies to improve engagement and reduce turnover
- Assess organizational health and culture by building relationships with employees and gaining a pulse on the organization
- Review current HR processes and make recommendations for continuous improvement and increased efficiency
- Support organizational growth initiatives, workforce planning, and future expansion efforts
The successful candidate has:
- 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, ideally in a standalone or leadership capacity
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- Experience within manufacturing, engineering, oil and gas, or a related industrial environment is preferred
- Experience with an ERP implantation is preferred
- Strong recruitment experience, particularly in high-volume or difficult-to-fill roles, including sales
- Exposure to both Canadian and U.S. operations is an asset
- Excellent relationship-building, communication, and coaching skills
- A collaborative, accountable, and proactive approach, with the ability to listen, understand, and drive result
- Able to travel to the U.S. approximately 2–3 times per year as required
Compensation and benefits:
- The discussed salary range is $90,000 – $115,000 depending on experience
- Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered
