**Role Overview**
We are looking for a people\-first HR Manager to own employee relations and culture at BabyBillion. As we scale rapidly, our team is our greatest asset — and we need someone who brings genuine warmth, high energy, and the ability to keep a fast\-moving organisation feeling connected and cared for.
This role sits within a small HR team and is ideal for someone with a startup mindset who thrives in dynamic environments, handles pressure with composure, and knows that great HR is ultimately about great human relationships.
**Key Responsibilities**

**Own employee relations:**
Be the trusted point of contact for the team — handling concerns, conflicts, and day\-to\-day people matters with empathy and discretion.

**Drive culture initiatives:**
Design and run programmes that strengthen team connection, morale, and a positive workplace vibe across the company.
•
**Lead onboarding:**
Ensure every new hire has a welcoming, smooth, and memorable first experience from day one.
•
**Support performance management:**
Help managers have better conversations, set clearer goals, and build stronger, more motivated teams.
•
**Run engagement loops:**
Pulse surveys, team events, feedback sessions keep a real\-time pulse on how the team is doing and act on it.
•
**Stay composed under pressure:**
BabyBillion moves fast. You'll be the calm, steady presence that keeps people grounded when things get intense.
•
**Partner on HR policy:**
Work with leadership to evolve policies and practices that reflect our values and our stage of growth.
**What We're Looking For**
•
**People skills:**
A natural connector warm, approachable, and genuinely energised by being around and supporting people. This is our \#1 requirement.
•
**Startup experience:**
3–4 years in a startup or scale\-up environment.
•
**Composure:**
Ability to stay grounded, solutions\-focused, and positive even when things get hectic.
•
**Emotional intelligence:**
Strong instincts for reading people and handling sensitive situations with care and professionalism.
•
**Mindset:**
Hands\-on, collaborative, and comfortable owning work end\-to\-end within a small team.
•
**HR knowledge:**
Core HR competencies are a plus but the right attitude and people skills matter more. We're happy to develop technical skills on the job.
