HR Manager

Our client, a well-established construction and manufacturing organization in Nashville, is seeking a direct hire HR Manager to join their leadership team.

This highly visible, fully on-site role offers the opportunity to lead and modernize HR operations while supporting a diverse workforce across both field and corporate environments. The ideal candidate will bring strong employee relations expertise, Paylocity experience , and a business-minded approach to balancing employee support with organizational goals.

Duties:

• Lead the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training, engagement initiatives, and offboarding.
• Serve as a trusted business partner to leadership, fostering a positive workplace culture while driving accountability, compliance, and operational excellence.
• Manage workplace investigations, employee relations matters, performance improvement plans, conflict resolution, and manager coaching.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, ACA, OSHA, EEO, and overall HR policy administration.
• Oversee benefits administration, leave management, workers' compensation, open enrollment, and employee communications related to benefits programs.
• Administer HR systems, maintain accurate employee records, analyze workforce metrics, and provide reporting to leadership.
• Drive process improvements, support technology initiatives, and implement scalable HR programs that enhance organizational effectiveness.
• Partner with leadership to strengthen communication, improve processes, and support long-term business growth.

Paylocity experience required

• Experience supporting manufacturing, construction, skilled trades, industrial, or other blue-collar workforces strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of employee relations, employment law, benefits administration, performance management, and HR compliance
• Ability to navigate challenging conversations, establish accountability, and maintain strong relationships across all levels of an organization
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred

Title: HR Manager

Location: Nashville, TN - Fully On-Site

Pay: $90,000 - $100,000 base salary + bonus potential + comprehensive benefits package

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:30 PM
