**Partner with the CEO to Run an AI\-Native Founder\-Led Sales Motion at Versance** Remote \| Canada **Versance is building the AI Operating System for Public Companies** We help public company management teams run investor communications, disclosure\-sensitive workflows, research, drafting, and other high\-stakes operating functions through a compliance\-grade AI platform built for public markets. Our buyers are typically CEOs, CFOs, investor relations leaders, and communications teams at small\- and micro\-cap public companies. **We are hiring a Head of Sales to work directly with the CEO.** This is not a conventional sales management role. At Versance, the CEO is chief evangelist. You are the field general. You will lead the day\-to\-day sales motion at the front of the company — driving outbound execution, qualifying opportunities, managing pipeline, coordinating demos, running disciplined follow\-up, and helping turn strong market interest into signed revenue. **We Are AI Native** Versance is building an AI\-native commercial engine designed to create leverage across sales, onboarding, support, client success, and training. **We already use:** * automated outbound account\-based engagement * agentic lead development and management * AI\-assisted research and personalization * increasing automation across onboarding and support * internal marketing and agentic development resources to improve the system continuously You will not be responsible for architecting these systems. You will be responsible for using them at a very high level. This role is for someone who understands how to combine AI leverage, human judgment, disciplined execution, and data\-driven sales management. You should be excited by the idea that technology can do more of the heavy lifting so that a strong operator can drive more output, better follow\-up, tighter execution, and stronger conversion without unnecessary headcount. **What You Will Do** * run day\-to\-day sales execution * work targeted accounts in an account\-based sales motion * use our AI\-enabled sales infrastructure to drive qualified conversations * identify and prioritize high\-value prospects and decision\-makers * manage pipeline, next steps, and opportunity progression with discipline * secure meetings with CEOs, CFOs, IR leaders, and other senior stakeholders * coordinate demos led by the CEO * prepare strong account briefs and pre\-call context * run fast, consistent, executive\-grade follow\-up * track pipeline and conversion performance closely * surface objections, patterns, and market feedback that sharpen the sales motion **What We Are Looking For** We are looking for a hands\-on senior sales operator, not a corporate manager and not a pure strategist. **The ideal candidate has:** * significant B2B sales experience in a relevant environment * strong experience with account\-based or strategic account sales * a highly data\-driven working style * advanced practical fluency with AI in daily sales work * strong written communication and executive credibility * comfort working directly with a CEO in a founder\-led sales motion * the ability to operate with urgency, rigor, and accountability Direct experience with public companies is a plus, but not required. We are interested in candidates who have succeeded in trust\-heavy, high\-credibility, complex B2B selling environments such as: * SaaS * fintech * legaltech * regtech * communications software * workflow software * other sectors where the buyer is senior, the stakes are real, and the sales motion requires judgment **This Role Is a Strong Fit For Someone Who** * wants to partner closely with a founder * likes being at the front of the commercial motion * knows how to run strategic accounts without hiding behind a big team * uses AI and automation as real leverage, not buzzwords * is energized by measurable performance and continuous improvement * can combine hustle, discipline, and judgment **Why This Role Matters** Versance is not building a conventional software company and this is not a conventional Head of Sales role.
