Penna Overseas Corporation is seeking an experienced HR Head of Department to lead and manage the Human Resources team and operations. This role requires a strategic and hands-on leader capable of overseeing all HR functions while ensuring compliance with Pakistan labor laws and social compliance standards. The candidate will spearhead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and practices that align with the company's goals and regulatory requirements. Managing a team of 10 HR professionals, the HR Head will drive workforce planning, talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, compensation strategy, and leadership development initiatives.
The HR Head is responsible for conducting HR and social compliance audits, including SEDEX/SMETA, SA8000, and Customer Code of Conduct audits, ensuring audit findings are addressed promptly through corrective action plans. Close collaboration with senior management is essential to support organizational growth and workforce development. This role demands strong leadership and communication skills, expertise in HR compliance, and proficiency in HRIS and workforce analytics to deliver actionable insights and maintain a positive workplace atmosphere in the garments manufacturing and export industry.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the HR Department, including supervising a team of 10 HR professionals to ensure the effective operation of HR functions.
- Develop, implement, and update HR policies, procedures, and best practices that comply with Pakistan Labor Laws and support the organizations objectives.
- Plan, execute, and oversee HR compliance audits, maintaining proper documentation to ensure legal and regulatory adherence.
- Lead and coordinate comprehensive social compliance audits such as SEDEX/SMETA, SA8000, Customer Code of Conduct (COC), and other third-party audits.
- Ensure the timely closure and diligent follow-up of audit findings and Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) to uphold social compliance standards.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring the attraction and retention of top talent aligned with organizational needs.
- Maintain employee relations by addressing grievances effectively and fostering a respectful, positive, and productive workplace environment.
- Drive performance management initiatives, including the implementation and monitoring of performance management systems to enhance employee productivity.
- Oversee compensation and benefits strategies to remain competitive and ensure employee satisfaction in accordance with company policies.
- Coordinate training and leadership development programs to enhance employee skills and prepare future leaders.
- Administer succession planning to maintain business continuity and support organizational growth.
- Utilize HR Analytics and workforce analytics to assess trends, identify improvement areas, and make data-driven HR decisions.
- Prepare and present regular HR reports, key performance indicators, and management updates to senior leadership.
- Work closely with senior management teams to align HR strategies with business goals and support organizational change management efforts.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and social compliance standards to maintain the companys ethical and legal standing.
- Leverage Human Capital Management (HCM) software and HRIS systems for efficient data management, reporting, and process automation.
