Group Legal Counsel

A leading **multi\-sector organization** based in Dubai, UAE is seeking an experienced and strategic Group Legal Counsel to join its leadership team. This role will be responsible for overseeing all legal, compliance, and governance matters across the group’s operations, while serving as a trusted advisor to senior management and driving sound legal and corporate governance practices. **Responsibilities** * Provide strategic legal counsel to senior leadership on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters * Lead legal support for mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic initiatives * Draft, review, and negotiate complex, high\-value contracts and agreements * Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards * Oversee litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution in coordination with external counsel * Develop and implement legal policies, compliance frameworks, and risk mitigation strategies * Monitor regulatory changes and advise on business impact * Build strong relationships with regulators and key external stakeholders * Lead and mentor legal teams across group entities **Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB/JD); LLM or MBA is an advantage * Qualified to practice law in a recognized jurisdiction * 10\+ years of experience in corporate legal practice, including senior or in\-house roles * Strong expertise in contracts, compliance, corporate governance, and regulatory frameworks * Experience within diversified or multinational organizations preferred * Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills * Strategic thinker with strong business acumen
