Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Engineer with a passion for civil structures to join our Infrastructure \& Environment team at Waterman Group.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Civil Engineering graduate to begin their career working on the design and delivery of bridge and structural engineering solutions across rail and wider infrastructure projects. You will gain hands\-on experience in a supportive environment, working alongside experienced engineers while developing your technical and professional skills.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Assist in the design and analysis of bridges and civil structures for rail and infrastructure projects
* Support the delivery of engineering solutions in line with client requirements and project objectives
* Prepare calculations, drawings and technical reports under supervision
* Work in accordance with relevant standards, codes, and procedures (e.g. Eurocodes, Network Rail standards)
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
* Attend site visits and assist with inspections where required
* Contribute to innovative and sustainable engineering solutions
**About You**
* Degree in Civil Engineering (BEng or MEng)
* Strong interest in civil structures, particularly bridges and infrastructure
* Understanding of structural behaviour and engineering principles
* Awareness of relevant design standards and codes (desirable)
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
* Strong organisational and problem\-solving abilities
**Development \& Progression**
You will be supported through a structured training and development programme, working towards Chartered Engineer status (ICE or IStructE). You will gain exposure to a wide range of projects and develop the technical, commercial, and professional skills required for a successful engineering career.
