Campus Living Centres is looking for an experienced and dynamic
General Manager
to lead the day-to-day operations of a student residence and create an environment where students feel
s
afe, supported, engaged, and at home.
This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys bringing people together, and knows how to turn operational challenges into opportunities.
WHAT YOU’LL LEAD
As General Manager, you’ll oversee the full residence operation, including:
Residence Life \& Student Experience
Lead residence life programming, student conduct, community standards, move-in, crisis response, and initiatives that create a positive and engaging student community.
Business \& Financial Operations
Own the property’s operating budget, revenue and expenses, reporting, accounts receivable, and overall financial performance.
Sales \& Marketing
Partner with Sales \& Marketing to develop strategies, identify opportunities, strengthen occupancy, and grow summer business.
People \& Leadership
Lead, coach, develop, and inspire a diverse team. Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and exceptional service while supporting employee development and performance.
Facilities \& Operations
Oversee Maintenance and Housekeeping, preventative maintenance, property standards, seasonal changeovers, and the overall appearance and functionality of the residence.
Client \& Guest Relations
Build strong relationships with institutional partners, students, families, guests, and internal stakeholders while delivering a consistently high level of service.
Health, Safety \& Risk Management
Champion a strong safety culture, ensure compliance with applicable requirements, and oversee risk management across the residence.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You’re a
people leader, problem solver, and strategic thinker
who can balance the big picture with the details.
You bring:
✔️ An undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
✔️ 5+ years of hotel, student residence, or property management experience
✔️ Proven leadership and team-building experience
✔️ Strong business and financial acumen
✔️ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
✔️ Experience with property management systems and Microsoft Office
✔️ The ability to manage competing priorities, tight deadlines, and high-pressure situations
✔️ A commitment to creating exceptional student experiences
✔️ Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and participate in an on-call rotation as required
Experience in student affairs, crisis intervention, student conduct, or student development is considered an asset.
