General Accountant (Tax)

**Position:** General Accountant (Tax) **Location:** Stockholm **Department:** Finance \& Accounting **1\. Job Purpose** We are looking for a detail\-oriented General Accountant to manage daily accounting operations and ensure full compliance with tax regulations. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting business decisions. **2\. Key Responsibilities** **General Accounting** * Handle full\-set accounting including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliation * Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in compliance with accounting standards * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports * Support closing process and ensure timely submission of financial statements **Tax \& Compliance** * Prepare and submit tax declarations (VAT, CIT, PIT, etc.) in accordance with local regulations * Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulatory requirements * Work with tax authorities during audits, inspections, and reporting * Monitor updates in tax regulations and advise internal teams accordingly **Financial Control \& Reporting** * Review and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness * Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis * Identify discrepancies and propose solutions for improvement **Coordination \& Process Improvement** * Work closely with internal departments (HR, Operations, Sales) to collect financial data * Coordinate with external auditors and consultants when required * Improve accounting processes and internal controls **3\. Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field * 3–5\+ years of experience in general accounting and tax * Strong knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations * Experience working with accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) * Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting * Good communication skills and attention to detail **4\. Preferred Skills** * Experience in multinational companies or fast\-growing environments * Familiarity with IFRS is a plus * Professional certifications (ACCA, CPA, etc.) are an advantage **5\.
