Role Description This is a full-time, on-site GCP DevOps Engineer role based in Hyderabad. The GCP DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring scalability, reliability, and security of applications and services. Daily tasks include building and managing CI/CD pipelines, automating deployments, monitoring system performance, and optimizing resource usage. The role involves collaborating closely with development, QA, and security teams to streamline release processes and support a robust DevOps culture. The engineer will also troubleshoot production issues, implement best practices for infrastructure-as-code, and contribute to continuous improvement of tools, processes, and documentation.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform services (e.g., Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, VPC, IAM) and cloud architecture best practices.
- Proficiency with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, Cloud Build), version control (Git), and automated deployments.
- Hands-on skills in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or similar, and experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, including cluster management, scaling, and observability.
- Knowledge of Linux-based systems administration, networking fundamentals, and security best practices in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., Stackdriver/Cloud Operations, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK) to ensure high availability and performance.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and document systems and processes in a structured manner.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant cloud or DevOps certifications (e.g., Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, Google Professional Cloud Architect
