Financial Accountant

An established and growing business is seeking a commercially minded

Financial Accountant

to join its finance team based in Leicester. Supporting a large multi-site operation, this role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, ensuring robust financial control, accurate reporting, and insightful financial analysis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to broaden their experience within a dynamic and fast-paced environment while gaining exposure to multiple business units and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Take ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and ensure strong financial controls are maintained.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities.
• Partner with operational and site management teams across multiple locations.
• Assist with statutory accounts preparation and year-end audit processes.
• Analyse financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes and reporting.

Candidate Profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or finalist with relevant experience.
• Previous experience within a multi-site, FMCG, retail, distribution, logistics, or similar operational environment would be advantageous.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial reporting experience.
• Excellent Excel and financial systems skills.
• Confident communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Proactive, organised, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
