Job Description
Position: Software Engineer, New Grad (Zara)
Type: Hourly contract
Compensation: $180K - $250K/yr
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10 40 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of fullstack systems and product features.
- Build backend services and APIs with clean, maintainable code.
- Develop user-facing interfaces and improve product functionality.
- Support database design and data modeling for performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver features.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and engineering improvements.
- Debug issues and help maintain reliable production systems.
Requirements
- Recent graduate in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong fundamentals in JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Familiarity with React and frontend development concepts.
- Familiarity with Node.js and backend development.
- Understanding of databases such as PostgreSQL and data modeling basics.
- Knowledge of APIs and system communication principles.
- Strong willingness to learn with attention to detail.
