Donations Officer (Volunteer – Remote)

**Company Description** Smiles Foundation is a non\-profit organization dedicated to improving the health and well\-being of disadvantaged children and their families in the Dominican Republic. Since 1987, the foundation has provided free preventative health education and restorative dental treatments, expanding its initiatives to include Environmental Care, English Language, and Computer Technology. Through its 10 permanent and 5 mobile clinics, Smiles Foundation has positively impacted over 7 million individuals. The organization also operates in Canada and the USA. **Role Description** We are currently seeking a **Donations Officer (Volunteer)** to support the organization and classification of in\-kind donations received in Toronto. These contributions are carefully prepared and shipped to the Dominican Republic, where they play a vital role in supporting our clinics and community programs. This is a **remote volunteer position** , offering flexibility; however, occasional availability to visit our warehouse in **Scarborough** is highly desirable to assist with the coordination and organization of donation shipments. This is a meaningful opportunity to be directly involved in a mission\-driven initiative and contribute to improving access to essential care in underserved communities. **Key Responsibilities** * Organize and classify incoming in\-kind donations * Maintain accurate records and inventory tracking * Coordinate with the team regarding shipment preparation and logistics * Support the preparation of donation boxes for international shipping * Assist (occasionally, in person) with warehouse organization and oversight in Scarborough **Qualifications \& Skills** * Strong organizational and attention to detail skills * Ability to work independently in a remote setting * Good communication and teamwork skills * Interest in nonprofit work, logistics, or operations is an asset * **Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and medical supplies** * Background as a Dental Hygienist or Dental Assistant is considered a strong asset * Availability for occasional in\-person support in Toronto (Scarborough) is preferred **Why Join Us** * Gain hands\-on experience in nonprofit operations and logistics * Contribute to a meaningful global health initiative * Be part of a passionate and mission\-driven team * Flexible, remote volunteer opportunity
