Job Description
**The salary range for this position is $140,000 \- $170,000\.00 depending on experience, including a Sales Incentive Plan** The Director of Sales is responsible for managing, promoting, and developing opportunities encompassing the entire Kärcher product portfolio across both a nationwide network of Pressure Washer Dealers, as well as with direct National accounts. You will achieve national and regional sales goals each month through the successful training, retention, and recruitment of Sales Representatives and Dealers in each geographic area. You will manage, train, and motivate the Sales staff and Dealer group throughout North America to drive growth and build high market penetration on all products. In this role, you will be responsible for selling the full portfolio of Karcher products. **This is how you WOW:** **Sales:** * Grow revenues and profits in all product categories: equipment, accessories, detergents, and aftermarket repair parts. * Manage the nationwide Dealer network, with an emphasis on driving portfolio growth * Travel and meet with motivated Kärcher accounts to assist them in growing their market share. * Along with the Kärcher Dealers, develop the brands through frequent end\-user sales calls to qualified and prospective accounts. * Enforce sales and distribution policies as it relates to channels, territories, pricing, and promotion. * Document and communicate any action that is contrary to these policies. * Ensure that the brand RSM’s are kept technically up to date about the equipment portfolio, parts and accessories and their applications. * Ensure the brand RSM’s know how to sell, operate, and identify equipment and know which piece of equipment to recommend for use in different situations. * Ensure the brand RSM’s can communicate the benefits and features of our product line versus the competition. * Complete an annual sales plan that identifies target distributors for growth, direct sale opportunities, low\-performing Dealers for action, and open territories for recruitment. **Management:** * Recruit, hire, and directly manage staff to develop sales programs that achieve or exceed revenue targets. * Track performance goals for each Regional Sales Manager, Dealer, and Direct Account, clearly communicating expectations to all parties. * Submit sales and activity reports as requested by the Chief Sales Officer. * Adhere to the pricing policies of the company. * Use judgment to keep travel, entertainment, and other expenses reasonable and consistent with Kärcher North America policies. * Develop sales programs or contests that drive measurable and cost\-effective sales. * Review Dealer sales reports with Regional Sales Managers to show sales standings and market trends. **Marketing \& Customer Service:** * Provide management with detailed market and competitive information. * Become deeply knowledgeable with all marketing materials and programs to assist accounts with national and local marketing. * Work with the marketing department on any sales\-related programs or contests. * Manage parts and service training for assigned Kärcher accounts. * Provide training to the Kärcher pressure washer Dealer group to make them proficient in the product line and applications. * Work in partnership with the Kärcher Customer Service team to increase revenues and profits. **Financial \& Product Management:** * Assist the Credit Department in keeping files on each account regarding their understanding of policies. * Develop a customer service\-oriented relationship with all Kärcher Dealers in the United States. * Help develop and manage an annual sale and expense budget for the Kärcher brands. * Work with Product Management to set pricing and develop new products or refresh current lines. * Attend meetings with Product Management and Operations to drive growth strategy. * Lead the design and success of dealer conferences and regional meetings. **It would be WOW if you would bring this in:** * Bachelor's degree from a four\-year College or University. * Three years of successful industrial product category sales and sales staff management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. **Our Kärcher WOW\-package:** * Medical, Dental, and Vision plan. * Paid Holidays (11 per year). * Flexible PTO for exempt employees; generous PTO for non\-exempt employees. * HSA, FSA, and 401K matching plans. * Paid sick time, as well as short and long\-term disability insurance. **So: Wanna WOW with us?** Simply upload your resume online and leave your contact information.
