Job Description
The Director of Human Resources provides strategic and operational leadership for all HR functions, partnering with executive leadership to align people strategy with business objectives. This role is responsible for developing scalable HR programs, strengthening organizational culture, ensuring compliance, and leading initiatives that drive employee engagement, performance, and retention. The ideal candidate is a trusted advisor, change leader, and hands\-on HR professional who can operate at both strategic and tactical levels. Strategic Leadership \& Business Partnership * Serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership, advising on workforce planning, organizational design, and talent strategies. * Translate business goals into actionable HR initiatives that drive performance and growth. * Lead change management efforts during periods of growth, transformation, or restructuring. * Use HR metrics and analytics to guide decision\-making and measure program effectiveness. Talent Management \& Development * Oversee talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain high\-quality talent. * Design and implement performance management, succession planning, and leadership development programs. * Support managers with coaching, feedback, and employee development initiatives. * Champion employee engagement and retention strategies. Employee Relations \& Culture * Foster a positive, inclusive, and high\-performance workplace culture. * Provide guidance on employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective action. * Ensure fair and consistent application of policies and practices across the organization. * Act as a visible and approachable leader for employees and managers. Compliance \& Risk Management * Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. * Oversee policy development and updates to reflect legal and organizational changes. * Partner with legal counsel on audits, investigations, and risk mitigation. * Maintain accurate documentation and reporting standards. Compensation, Benefits \& HR Operations * Lead compensation, benefits, and total rewards strategies to support attraction and retention. * Oversee HR systems, processes, and technology to ensure scalability and efficiency. * Manage vendor relationships related to benefits, HRIS, and external HR services. * Develop and manage the HR budget. Team Leadership * Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team, fostering collaboration and accountability. * Assess team capabilities and structure to support organizational needs. * Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and development plans for HR staff. Qualifications Required * Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. * 8\-12\+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership at the manager or director level. * Broad HR generalist expertise, including employee relations, compliance, talent management, and HR operations. * Proven experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing business outcomes. * Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices. * Excellent communication, judgment, and problem\-solving skills. *All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
