ALTEN Sweden is looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to join one of our key clients in the automotive industry in Gothenburg.

About the role
As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will play a key role in building and evolving modern developer platforms while enabling secure, scalable, and automated software delivery.
You will work across platform engineering, DevSecOps, cloud technologies, developer tooling, and automation to improve developer experience and accelerate innovation. The role also offers opportunities to explore and implement AI-powered capabilities that simplify workflows, improve knowledge sharing, and enhance productivity across engineering teams.
Working closely with development, platform, cloud, and cybersecurity teams, you will help drive platform adoption, automation, standardization, and security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Designing, developing, and improving secure and scalable developer platforms and engineering workflows.
- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automation solutions, and software delivery processes.
- Integrating security controls, policies, and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Supporting and enhancing Internal Developer Platform (IDP) capabilities, including self-service solutions and developer tooling.
- Contributing to Backstage integrations, software templates, developer portals, and standardized engineering workflows.
- Building and managing cloud-native infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code principles and modern automation tools.
- Developing internal tools and services using technologies such as Python, TypeScript, or similar.
- Implementing and maintaining security capabilities such as vulnerability scanning, container security, SBOM management, and software supply chain security.
- Collaborating with development, platform, cloud, and cybersecurity teams to improve developer experience and operational efficiency.
- Driving continuous improvements in platform reliability, observability, governance, and security.
- Exploring and adopting modern technologies, including AI-powered tools and automation, to streamline engineering workflows.
Who you are
We believe you have a background in software development, platform engineering, DevOps, DevSecOps, or a related field. You are passionate about technology, enjoy solving complex challenges, and thrive in collaborative environments.
You have experience with some of the following:
- Modern software development and automation.
- Cloud platforms and containerized environments.
- CI/CD and software delivery processes.
- Platform engineering, developer tooling, or DevSecOps practices.
- AI-powered tools or an interest in emerging technologies.
It's a plus if you have:
- Experience developing custom Backstage plugins and enterprise developer portals.
- Knowledge of Python, Go, or cloud-native backend development.
- Experience with GitOps methodologies and platform engineering practices.
- Familiarity with AI technologies such as LLMs, Azure OpenAI, MCP, vector databases, embeddings, or RAG solutions.
- Experience integrating AI-powered tools into engineering workflows.
- Knowledge of identity and access management, RBAC, secret management, and software supply chain security.
- Experience embedding governance, policies, and automated guardrails within development platforms.
