Role Overview
We are looking for a
DevOps / Sr DevOps Engineer
with strong expertise in
AWS cloud infrastructure, CI/CD automation, and Kubernetes-based application deployments
. The role focuses on enabling engineering teams with scalable, secure, and automated DevOps platforms while ensuring smooth application delivery across environments.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building
CI/CD pipelines
, managing
cloud infrastructure using IaC
, and supporting
containerized application workloads on AWS (EKS)
.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain
end-to-end CI/CD pipelines
for cloud-native applications.
- Build and manage
AWS infrastructure
using
Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
.
- Deploy and manage applications on
Kubernetes (EKS)
with DevOps best practices.
- Automate build, test, release, and deployment processes across environments.
- Work closely with development teams to
standardize build and deployment workflows
.
- Implement
monitoring, logging, and alerting
for applications and platforms.
- Support
containerization strategy
using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Implement
security best practices
in CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and container pipelines.
- Optimize pipelines and cloud workloads for
performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
.
- Troubleshoot deployment, pipeline, infrastructure, and runtime issues.
- Collaborate with Cloud Ops, SRE, Security, and Development teams.
Required Skills \& Expertise
DevOps \& CI/CD
- Strong hands-on experience with
CI/CD tools
such as
Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
.
- Experience implementing
pipeline-as-code
and reusable CI/CD templates.
- Familiarity with branching strategies, artifact repositories, and release management.
- Experience with
DevSecOps practices
(SAST, DAST, dependency scanning).
AWS Cloud
- Strong hands-on experience with
AWS services
, including
- EC2, VPC, IAM, ELB (ALB/NLB), Auto Scaling
- EKS, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, Route53
- Experience with
AWS networking, IAM policies, and security best practices
.
- Hands-on with
deployment, upgrades, patching, and backups
of AWS workloads.
Kubernetes \& Containers
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing applications on
Kubernetes (EKS)
.
- Solid understanding of:
- Deployments, StatefulSets, DaemonSets, Jobs
- Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps, Secrets
- Working knowledge of
Helm
and/or
Kustomize
.
- Experience supporting
GitOps-based deployments
(ArgoCD / Flux preferred).
- Understanding of Kubernetes networking, storage, and RBAC (not SRE-depth).
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Strong experience with
Terraform
for AWS infrastructure provisioning.
- Ability to write reusable Terraform modules and manage remote state.
- Familiarity with
Terragrunt
is a plus.
Observability \& Operations
- Experience with
monitoring and logging tools
such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.
- Ability to define basic SLIs/SLOs in coordination with SRE teams.
- Hands-on troubleshooting of application and infrastructure issues.
Security \& Compliance
- Experience integrating security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of IAM best practices, secrets management, and container image scanning.
- Familiarity with compliance-driven environments is a plus.
Certifications (Preferred)
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
or
AWS Solutions Architect
- CKA / CKAD
- Good to have (not mandatory for DevOps)
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with
service mesh
(Istio) from a deployment/configuration perspective.
- Exposure to
FinOps / cloud cost optimization
.
- Familiarity with
multi-account AWS strategies
.
- Experience working alongside SRE teams in high-availability environments.
