Vector Solutions is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience delivering reliable and scalable infrastructure through automation, continuous integration, and deployment. This role focuses on optimizing our development and operational processes using cloud computing platforms and containerization technologies to ensure seamless product delivery. The engineer will work closely with stakeholders, responding promptly to immediate infrastructure needs and maintaining high availability of systems.
As a pivotal member of our technical team, the DevOps Engineer will manage the configuration, deployment, and monitoring of infrastructure with an emphasis on Infrastructure as Code principles. This position requires excellent execution capabilities and a proactive approach to handle production issues swiftly while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders. Although this role does not involve managing a team, it demands strong collaboration skills to coordinate effectively across multiple departments and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.
- Design and manage scalable infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
- Deploy and orchestrate containerized applications leveraging Docker and Kubernetes clusters for scalable deployments.
- Monitor system performance and maintain logging solutions using tools like Grafana to detect and address operational issues proactively.
- Automate repetitive tasks and configuration management to improve system efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Version control management using Git to maintain codebase integrity and support collaboration among development teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand immediate system needs, prioritize tasks, and deliver timely solutions.
- Respond swiftly to infrastructure-related incidents to minimize downtime and ensure system availability.
- Maintain documentation of infrastructure changes, deployment processes, and operational procedures.
- Ensure security best practices are embedded within deployment and infrastructure management workflows.
- Support cloud computing platforms and assist in capacity planning and resource optimization.
- Continuously evaluate new technologies and tools to improve the development and operational environments.
