About The Role We are seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the automation, security, reliability, and operational stability of our infrastructure and deployment pipelines. As a core member of the DevOps / Infrastructure team, you will work closely with engineering teams and report to the Team Lead or Manager, ensuring seamless deployment processes and robust infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience in Linux systems, networking, cloud platforms, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and production operations. This role requires a proactive individual capable of troubleshooting complex issues independently, implementing best practices, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize our infrastructure environment.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Infrastructure/DevOps, with a focus on Linux administration and troubleshooting in production environments
- Deep understanding of networking protocols and concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, SSL/TLS, HTTP/HTTPS, routing, firewalls, and load balancing
- Proficiency in building, maintaining, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows
- Hands-on experience with configuration management tools, specifically Chef
- Strong scripting skills using Bash, Python, or similar languages for automation
- Proficiency with Git and GitHub, including branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews
- Experience with cloud and virtualization platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or VMware
- Experience with containerization tools like Docker or Podman
- Knowledge of container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, or HPE VME/virtualization
- Solid understanding of infrastructure security, hardening, and operational best practices
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, centralized logging, and incident response processes
Responsibilities
- Maintain, operate, and improve production infrastructure environments and Linux-based systems to ensure high availability and performance
- Build, support, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows to streamline release processes
- Support cloud, virtualization, and container-based platforms while enhancing system hardening, monitoring, logging, and alerting practices
- Investigate and resolve production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions to prevent recurrence
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to support release management and deployment activities
- Maintain comprehensive infrastructure documentation, procedures, runbooks, and best practices
- Implement security measures to safeguard infrastructure and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve operational efficiency
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize infrastructure components
