DevOps Engineer

**Senior DevOps / Cloud Engineer** 📍 Hybrid / Remote \- Newcastle Upon Tyne **The Opportunity** We’re looking for a proactive **Senior DevOps / Cloud Engineer** to join a fast\-paced, client\-facing environment supporting multiple businesses across a range of legacy and modern cloud platforms. This is a varied and hands\-on role where you’ll play a key part in managing infrastructure, driving improvements, supporting deployments, and leading migrations. Working closely with the CTO and development teams, you’ll help shape technical solutions, improve reliability and security, and ensure smooth delivery across multiple client environments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and solving complex technical challenges across both traditional infrastructure and cloud\-first environments. **Key Responsibilities** * Manage, maintain, improve, and migrate client infrastructure across legacy and cloud platforms * Design and implement scalable cloud solutions within Azure environments * Support CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and release processes * Deliver infrastructure improvements including server moves, upgrades, and security enhancements * Investigate and resolve incidents quickly in collaboration with development teams * Work directly with clients to gather requirements, manage change, and confirm delivery timelines * Estimate technical work, propose solutions, and own delivery from concept to completion * Continuously identify opportunities to modernise systems and improve efficiency * Collaborate closely with software engineers to support application delivery **About You** * 3\+ years’ experience in a **DevOps / Cloud Engineering** role * Strong experience with **Azure** , Azure DevOps / Pipelines * Hands\-on experience with **Terraform** , **YAML** , infrastructure\-as\-code * Exposure to **Cloudflare** , **New Relic** , monitoring and observability tools * Strong understanding of cloud architecture and solution design * Experience supporting legacy **Windows Server** environments * Comfortable working in a customer\-facing role with multiple stakeholders * Self\-starter who can work independently and solve problems proactively **Desirable** * Previous software development experience (ideally **C\# / .NET** ) * Experience with **AWS** * Consultancy or multi\-client delivery background **Why Join?** * Diverse technical challenges across multiple clients and platforms * High level of ownership and autonomy * Work closely with senior leadership and engineering teams * Opportunity to modernise legacy estates and drive cloud transformation * Broad exposure across DevOps, infrastructure, security, and delivery
