**DevOps Engineer – Public Cloud \& Kubernetes (GCP/AWS/Azure)** Toronto, ON \- Hybrid **Primary Skills:** GCP,AWS, Azure, Kubernetes CI\-CD pipeline **Role Overview** The DevOps Engineer plays a critical role in executing individual and team objectives that support the organization’s broader business strategies. This position focuses on building, maintaining, and optimizing scalable, secure, and reliable platforms while ensuring all activities comply with organizational governance, regulatory requirements, and internal policies and procedures. **Is This Role Right for You?** In this role, you will be responsible for enabling efficient and reliable software delivery through automation, modern cloud platforms, and containerized solutions. You will partner closely with development, architecture, cloud, and security teams to improve developer productivity, operational excellence, and platform resilience. **Key Responsibilities:** * Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support efficient and reliable software delivery. * Automate build, test, deployment, and infrastructure workflows using tools such as Terraform and Ansible. * Enforce version\-controlled, repeatable infrastructure deployments aligned with infrastructure\-as\-code (IaC) best practices. * Manage and optimize cloud and hybrid environments (On\-Prem and GCP), ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency. * Design, implement, and manage container platforms such as Kubernetes, GKE, and RKE2\. * Implement and maintain observability and monitoring solutions, including Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki. * Optimize system performance and promote SRE\-aligned practices, including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets. * Reduce manual effort through end\-to\-end automation across infrastructure, configuration, validation, and deployment processes. * Evaluate, recommend, and integrate DevOps tools to enhance developer experience and operational efficiency. * Ensure compliance with organizational governance standards, audit requirements, and cloud security controls. * Participate in root\-cause analysis and implement preventative and corrective measures. * Improve system reliability through automation, redundancy, capacity planning, and performance tuning. * Support developers by enhancing build/deploy workflows, templates, and self\-service tooling. * Manage and execute day\-to\-day platform engineering and project\-oriented work, ensuring delivery meets user expectations. * Contribute to the development, enhancement, and capacity planning of data and platform services supporting business users. * Ensure systems are designed and operated securely to protect against cybersecurity threats. * Participate in project planning and contribute to technical and architectural decisions. * Demonstrate an understanding of the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture, incorporating it into daily decisions and activities. * Champion a client\-driven culture to strengthen client relationships and leverage enterprise platforms and capabilities. **Required Skills \& Qualifications** * 5–7 years of hands\-on experience in a DevOps or Platform Engineering role. * Practical experience with public cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure. * Strong hands\-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes. * Proven ability in automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure\-as\-code practices. * Strong critical thinking and problem\-solving skills. * Solid understanding of project management principles and methodologies. * Working knowledge of enterprise IT roadmaps and large\-scale platform environments. * Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. * Demonstrated technical proficiency to independently design, implement, and support DevOps solutions.
