DevOps Engineer

**DevOps Engineer – eDV Cleared** Ncounter is supporting a specialist consultancy delivering into highly sensitive National Security programmes, now seeking an eDV Cleared DevOps Engineer to join a greenfield platform build. This is a highly technical role blending software engineering and DevOps, with a focus on building secure, scalable systems while advising clients on engineering best practice. You will design and optimise CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure, and contribute directly to backend development using Python or Java. Alongside delivery, you will act as a consultant, helping shape DevOps strategy and platform evolution within a secure environment. **Key Responsibilities** * Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling * Develop backend services in Python or Java * Implement infrastructure as code across cloud environments (AWS preferred) * Enhance system reliability, scalability and performance * Advise stakeholders on DevOps strategy and engineering practices **What We’re Looking For** * Active eDV clearance is essential * Strong software engineering experience in Python or Java * Proven DevOps or platform engineering background * Experience with AWS, containerisation and orchestration * Strong knowledge of CI/CD and automation tooling * Ability to operate in secure, high\-assurance environments This is a high\-impact opportunity to combine hands\-on engineering with strategic input on a critical programme.
