The Role

You are the single infrastructure backbone for *every* venture in the studio. You won't run three teams' ops by hand — you'll build the

paved roads

(golden-path CI/CD, self-service deploy, security guardrails) that let six full-stack engineers ship independently and safely on AWS. This is a high-leverage, high-ownership seat: you set the infra and security DNA that every Meraki company inherits. You enable; you don't gate.

What You'll Do

• Build the platform:

Golden-path CI/CD and deployment automation that each product team self-serves — so one person scales to three startups.

• Own AWS, end to end:

Infrastructure-as-code, environments, networking, and cost control across all ventures.

• Bake in security:

Cloud security, IAM least-privilege, secrets management, and guardrails built *into* the paved road — not bolted on later. You own the security posture.

• Automate quality:

Stand up test-automation infrastructure and quality gates in the pipeline (the engineers write tests; you own the rails and the gates — not manual QA).

• Make it observable:

Logging, metrics, alerting, and lightweight on-call so teams catch issues before users do.

What We're Looking For

• Deep AWS + IaC:

Terraform or CDK fluency; you've built cloud platforms from scratch.

• CI/CD Mastery:

GitHub Actions (or equivalent), containers, and ECS/EKS in production.

• Security-First:

You think like an attacker and design like a guardian — this role owns the studio's security baseline.

• Platform Mindset:

You scale yourself by building self-service, because you're serving three teams alone. Paved roads over tickets.

• Sole-Owner Comfort:

You thrive as the single hands-on infra owner across multiple products — high autonomy, high accountability.

Technical Keywords We Value

• Cloud:

AWS (ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, S3).

• IaC \& CI/CD:

Terraform / CDK, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes.

• Security:

IAM, secrets management, SAST/DAST, least-privilege design.

• Observability:

Datadog / CloudWatch / Grafana, alerting, SLOs.

• Automation:

Test-automation pipelines, quality gates, cost optimization.
