DevOps Engineer

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a technology team in Toronto. You will drive DevOps initiatives, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, and support cloud\-native infrastructure within a large financial services environment. **What You'll Do** * Design, build, and maintain custom CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI * Lead DevOps initiatives and mentor team members on best practices * Manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes across Azure, OpenShift, and AWS * Develop and maintain automation scripts and services using Python, Groovy, or JavaScript * Support microservices architecture built on Spring Framework and Maven * Manage message broker integrations using RabbitMQ or Kafka * Work with SQL databases such as Postgres and NoSQL solutions such as MongoDB and Elasticsearch * Apply knowledge of multi\-threading, scaling, concurrency, caching, and distributed data storage * Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams in an Agile delivery environment **What You Bring** * 5 or more years of experience with DevOps principles and CI/CD tooling * Proven experience leading DevOps initiatives and mentoring team members * Strong expertise in Docker and Kubernetes across cloud platforms * Solid development background in Python, Groovy, or JavaScript * Experience with microservices architecture and Spring Framework * Knowledge of message brokers, relational and NoSQL databases * Familiarity with distributed systems concepts including scaling, caching, and concurrency * Strong collaboration and communication skills in an Agile environment **Nice to have** * Experience in banking or financial services environments * Exposure to infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Ansible * Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms **Work setup** * 6 month contract based in Toronto, ON * 4 days onsite per week * Mandatory background check required before onboarding
