🚀 DevOps Engineer \| Hybrid \| Software House My client is a software house that ships real products — and the infrastructure actually has to work. That means physical servers, on\-prem environments, and engineers who know how to keep them humming. Cloud is part of the toolkit, not a replacement for fundamentals. We're looking for a DevOps Engineer who's genuinely comfortable in the engine room — someone who can rack a server, tune a Hyper\-V cluster, and wire up a CI/CD pipeline. You'll own a hybrid stack: on\-premises Windows and Linux servers, IIS, Windows Services, and physical Hyper\-V — alongside modern automation tooling and self\-hosted agents that bridge on\-prem and cloud. If you have led or defined DevOps standards previously \- we want to hear from you. 🔧 What you'll be doing: ▸ Administer Windows \& Linux servers — physical, on\-prem, the real thing ▸ Manage IIS, Windows Services \& Hyper\-V on physical hardware ▸ Build IaC workflows with Terraform, Packer \& Ansible ▸ Own CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or TeamCity ▸ Release orchestration via Octopus Deploy ▸ Configure DNS, DHCP, firewalls \& reverse proxies (Nginx, IIS ARR, HAProxy) ▸ Write PowerShell \& Bash scripts that actually get used ▸ Work with Git/GitOps and modern container practices ✅ What we're looking for: ▸ Solid on\-prem experience — this isn't a cloud\-only role ▸ Hands\-on with Terraform, Packer \& Ansible ▸ Azure DevOps, TeamCity \& Octopus Deploy ▸ Strong networking fundamentals ▸ PowerShell \& Bash scripting ▸ Exposure to .NET Core environments If you've spent years deploying to physical infrastructure — not just clicking through a cloud console — we'd love to hear from you.
