Who We Are
We are a consultancy operating within Robert Walters, the world's most trusted talent solutions business. Across the globe, we deliver recruitment, outsourcing, and talent advisory services for businesses of all sizes, opening doors for people with diverse skills, ambitions, and backgrounds.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to play a key role in modernising our software delivery platforms by helping migrate legacy Jenkins pipelines to GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Actions.
Working within a collaborative engineering environment, you'll design and optimise CI/CD solutions, establish modern DevOps standards and support multiple development teams as they adopt scalable, secure and automated delivery practices.
What you'll do
- Lead and support the migration of legacy Jenkins build pipelines into GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Actions.
- Design, build and optimise CI/CD pipelines to improve software delivery across multiple applications and teams.
- Partner with engineers and stakeholders to implement DevOps best practices and modern automation strategies.
- Troubleshoot build, deployment and integration issues, ensuring platforms remain secure, reliable and resilient.
- Develop Infrastructure-as-Code and Configuration-as-Code solutions using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Promote secure software delivery through modern DevSecOps principles and automation.
What you bring
Essential
- Commercial experience with GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Actions in enterprise environments.
- Experience designing, maintaining or contributing to CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to Jenkins environments and an understanding of CI/CD migration or modernisation projects.
- Strong scripting skills using Python or similar automation languages across Linux and Windows environments.
- Experience working with Agile delivery teams and collaborating across multiple technical stakeholders.
Desirable
- Azure DevOps experience.
- Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and Ansible.
- DevSecOps tooling such as CodeQL, Dependabot or secret scanning.
- Experience with GitHub Copilot or AI-assisted development tools.
- Insurance or other regulated industry experience.
Why join?
This is an opportunity to contribute to a high-profile enterprise transformation rather than simply maintaining existing infrastructure. You'll help shape modern engineering practices, influence technical direction and work alongside experienced teams delivering secure, scalable and automated software solutions.
