Devops Engineer

Senior DevOps Engineer – GCP Bristol (2 Days Onsite) Long\-Term Contract Inside IR35 We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong Google Cloud Platform experience to support a large\-scale cloud and platform engineering programme within a highly regulated enterprise environment. This is a long\-term contract opportunity focused on building and maintaining secure, scalable, cloud\-native infrastructure and CI/CD capabilities across multiple environments. Key Responsibilities: • Build and manage GCP infrastructure across development and production environments • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for cloud\-native deployments • Support Kubernetes/GKE platform engineering and containerised workloads • Implement monitoring, logging, observability, and operational best practices • Work closely with engineering, security, and architecture teams to improve platform reliability and deployment automation • Support deployment strategies including canary, blue/green, and rollback approaches Required Skills: • Strong hands\-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) • Strong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code expertise • Kubernetes / GKE experience • CI/CD tooling experience (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD or similar) • Docker, Helm, and container platform engineering experience • Experience within enterprise or regulated environments • Strong DevOps and automation mindset Desirable: • Banking or financial services experience • SRE / observability experience • Experience with hybrid cloud environments
