This role involves working with large volumes of complex, often messy operational and emissions data from various vendors and operators in the oil and gas industry. The primary focus is on organizing, standardizing, and reconciling disparate datasets to produce reliable, defensible insights that support methane quantification, reconciliation, and uncertainty analysis. The Senior Data Scientist will serve as a technical leader, combining deep analytical expertise with practical knowledge of oil and gas operations to develop robust data frameworks and workflows. This position requires hands\-on involvement in data cleansing, standardization, and modeling, as well as translating technical findings into clear explanations for both internal teams and external clients. The role offers an exciting opportunity to influence industry standards for methane emissions reporting and to contribute to innovative solutions that support decarbonization efforts. The candidate will collaborate closely with junior analysts, product teams, and leadership, shaping research initiatives and ensuring scientific rigor across projects.
