**Credentialing Coordinator** **Department:** Credentialing **Supervisor:** Manager, Credentialing **Status:** Non\-Exempt, Full\-Time **Location:** Remote **Supervisory Responsibilities:** None **Travel:** 0\-1x/year **Rate of Pay:** $33\.17\-$40\.38/hour **EEO:** Administrative Support Workers **Position Summary:** The Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Functional Medicine Certification Program™ candidates throughout the certification lifecycle, including exceptional customer service, inquiry resolution, and application review for initial and recertification candidates. **Primary Responsibilities:** * Responsible for learning and maintaining updated knowledge of certification program policies, processes, and requirements, as well as IFM organizational information, and can effectively communicate these with customers, colleagues, or other end users. * Serve as first line candidate support via telephone and email inbox management, including communicating and evaluating pathways to certification, auditing certification applications and certification decisions, and escalating to Manager as needed. * Responsible for providing excellent, relationship\-driven customer service and candidate management to assist applicants for certification with specific details regarding their eligibility, applications, exam scheduling/rescheduling, reasonable accommodations, digital badges, or maintenance of certification, referring to and advising on program policies and processes. * Act as liaison for the Credentialing Department with a professional degree of discernment, while in person, over the phone, and via email. * Utilize the credentialing management system (CMS) to review and approve applications according to program policy and eligibility criteria, escalating as appropriate. * Support certification team by assisting with record maintenance and organization, communicating recommended areas for improvement, staying abreast of business processes, tools, and applications. **What We’re Looking For:** * Associate’s degree or 2 years of equivalent experience required. * Experience working within credentialing or accreditation preferred. * Certificate for Credentialing Specialist from the Institute for Credentialing Excellence preferred. * Knowledge or, or ability to learn, certification program details to offer specialized customer service. * High tech\-IQ with the ability to quickly master new technologies and software (e.g. CMS, Asana, Airtable, Hubspot). * Accountability \& Execution: Ability to work independently and meet deadlines; ability to plan, prioritize, and focus on critical issues and see work through completion. * Adaptability: Must be able to execute changes as directed and inquire for clarification as needed. * Analytical \& Critical Thinking: Must be able to execute changes as directed and inquire for clarification as needed. * Attention to Detail: Must be able to apply accuracy and thoroughness to all work assigned, paying attention to even the smallest of details. * Organizational Excellence: Ability to take initiative, ownership, and accountability for projects; able to react quickly with a strong sense of urgency.
