POSITION DESCRIPTION: Hanwha Q CELLS America is looking for a Litigation Counsel to support its direct-to-homeowner solar sales and financing business. You will join a collegial team of about20 legal professionals and report to the Senior Counsel. Our legal team is expected to grow rapidly over the next few years and there will be exciting opportunities for career growth. This role will report to a Senior Counsel and is based in Irvine CA, but remote work may be considered for exceptional candidates.
Responsibilities
- Provide litigation support for our residential consumer business relating to attorney demand letters, lawsuits, arbitrations, and regulatory matters (including subpoenas).
- Collaboratewithcross-functionalteamstoprovidestrategicbusinessorientedlegaladvice
- Main Responsibility: Resolve consumer disputes with opposing counsel, including negotiating favorable settlements directly with opposing counsel. Manage and provide strategy to outside counsel on litigation matters.
- Strategize and formulateplanfor offensive litigation for recovery of defaulted funds.
- Other assigned legal matters as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 3+yearsofexperiencein lawfirmor in-house handling litigation matters.
- A highly motivated individualwho has demonstrated leadership ability to excel in a fast-pacedenvironment,the ability to spot material issues from non-material issues, a true problem solver,the ability to proactively move assignments to completion in a timely manner with minimal supervision, and brings a can-do attitudewilling to tackle thorny legal challenges.

The salary range is required by the California Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of those candidates hired nationwide. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to, skill set, education, licenses and certifications, essential job duties and requirements, and the necessary experience relative to the job’s minimum qualifications.
