Legal Counsel – Commercial Law

  • The role is part of the Siemens India Legal team, serving as a trusted legal business partner to the SMO India business.
  • The candidate will contribute directly to business success by providing practical, strategic, and commercially focused legal advice.
  • The position reports to the Lead Counsel, SMO India

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Contracts \& Risk: Draft, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts with strong risk assessment and bid support.
  • Project Advisory: Partner with contract manager \& business teams on contract execution, claims, and dispute mitigation.
  • Compliance \& Governance: Advise on IP, antitrust, ESG, and broader regulatory matters.
  • Disputes \& Collaboration: Handle disputes and litigation, manage external counsel, and drive stakeholder engagement and training

Qualifications \& Experience — Excellent And Proven In Practice

  • The candidate should be a fully qualified lawyer with strong academic credentials, with an Indian legal background being essential.
  • Approximately 4–7 years of post-qualification experience in relevant practice areas is expected, gained in a leading law firm and/or inhouse legal function
