With clients across 25\+ countries, our work sits at the intersection of Indian law and international business — from helping foreign MNCs set up in India to guiding Indian enterprises on FDI, joint ventures, and real estate transactions.   **The Role** We're hiring a Corporate Lawyer to work directly alongside our Partner, Shashwat Jha, on day\-to\-day legal matters and, where appropriate, to lead client engagements independently. This is a hands\-on role for someone who wants to build a serious corporate practice with meaningful exposure to cross\-border work. You'll draft and negotiate contracts, advise on corporate structuring and FDI, conduct due diligence, manage real estate transactions, and partner with clients — often MNCs and foreign enterprises entering or operating in the Indian market.   **What you'll do** * Advise clients on corporate law, FDI, FEMA compliance, and commercial transactions * Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements — SHAs, SPAs, JVs, MOUs, leases, service agreements * Conduct legal and regulatory due diligence for M\&A, investments, and joint ventures * Handle real estate transactions including title diligence, conveyancing, and lease structuring * Liaise directly with clients — including foreign clients and MNCs — in clear, confident English * Support the Partner on complex matters and take ownership of files where appropriate * Coordinate with regulatory authorities (ROC, RBI, etc.) as needed   **What we're looking for** * LLB with 2–4 years of post\-qualification experience at a law firm or in\-house * Strong grounding in **corporate law** — exposure to MNCs, foreign companies, or cross\-border work strongly preferred * Working knowledge of **real estate law** and transactions * Excellent written and spoken English — you'll be client\-facing from day one * Sharp drafting skills and commercial judgment * Detail\-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple matters * Based in Ahmedabad or willing to relocate — **this is an on\-site role, not remote**   **Why Shepherd Knight** * Direct mentorship from a Cornell Law–trained Partner * Meaningful client exposure early in your career, including international clients * A firm that takes both its legal craft and its people seriously * A clear path to grow into senior responsibilities as the firm scales
