Corporate Accounting Manager

**Profile Snapshot** **Title:** Corporate Accounting Manager **Location:** Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates **Position Type:** Full Time **Department:** Corporate Finance **Overview:** The Corporate Accounting Manager will be a key member of the Corporate Finance team, responsible for overseeing end\-to\-end corporate accounting activities for the Head Office, SPVs, and other investments, while also supporting HQ financial reporting requirements. The role will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, and ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate policies. In addition, the position will provide meaningful financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision\-making by senior management. **How Will You Make An Impact?** **Accounts Payable \& Intercompany Management** * Manage end\-to\-end Accounts Payable (AP) processes for HQ operations. * Ensure accurate accounting of supplier invoices in compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT regulations, and internal company policies. * Oversee timely execution of weekly and monthly payment runs in line with cash forecasts, treasury guidelines, and Delegation of Authority (DOA). * Lead AP month\-end closing activities, including vendor reconciliations, accrual postings, and management reviews. **Reporting, MIS \& Group Support** * Provide corporate accounting inputs for monthly management reports, audit files, and dashboards. * Prepare quarterly and year\-end Group Reporting packs for submission to the consolidation team. * Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities are completed accurately and within deadlines. * Perform budget versus actual variance analysis, identify key drivers, explain material variances, and monitor corrective actions. **Recharge, Transfer Pricing \& Cost Management** * Manage recharge invoices to subsidiaries and ensure timely settlements in line with transfer pricing policy recommendations. * Monitor and analyze HQ operating costs with detailed breakdowns by cost center, function, and nature of spend. **Fixed Assets \& Depreciation** * Post monthly depreciation entries and ensure accurate fixed asset accounting in compliance with capitalization policies. **Compliance, Controls \& Audit** * Ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT, UAE Corporate Tax, and other applicable regulatory requirements. * Maintain and continuously enhance Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR). * Support internal and external audits, including preparation of audit files and timely closure of audit queries. * Ensure adherence to Group accounting policies and Delegation of Authority guidelines. **Corporate Accounting, SPVs \& M\&A** * Manage end\-to\-end accounting for SPVs, investments in associates, and M\&A\-related transactions. Ensure accurate accounting for: * Capital contributions and shareholder funding * Intercompany transactions and balances * Dividends, management fees, service charges, and cost allocations **Senior Stakeholder \& Project Support** * Prepare and compile management and Board remuneration files in coordination with HR. * Support senior management on ad hoc projects, analytical reviews, audits, and Board\-related requirements. **Key Competencies** * Strong technical accounting knowledge with hands\-on experience in corporate accounting. * Excellent analytical and problem\-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail. * Ability to manage complex, high\-volume transactions and effectively coordinate with multiple stakeholders. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior management and auditors. * High level of ownership, accountability, and a continuous process improvement mindset. **Qualifications \& Experience** * Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. * Professional qualification such as CA or ACCA is highly preferred. * Minimum 10\+ years of experience in corporate accounting or finance, preferably within a group or multinational environment. * Proven experience in IFRS reporting, investment accounting, intercompany accounting, and group reporting. * Strong exposure to the UAE regulatory environment, including VAT and Corporate Tax requirements. **Systems \& Technical Skills** * Strong hands\-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP and/or Oracle. * Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including data analysis, reconciliations, reporting, and dashboard preparation. * Experience with consolidation and financial reporting tools is considered an added advantage. **Grow with Agthia – For the Better** Agthia Group is one of the region’s leading Food \& Beverage companies, with a growing international footprint.
