Contract Lawyer

**Your role** We are seeking an in\-house counsel to join our Corporate Services Legal APAC team, based in Pune, India. This role is ideal for a legal professional who has an ability to deliver pragmatic solutions in a dynamic, international environment. Are you well versed in outsourcing, procurement contracts and general corporate and commercial law? Can you deliver practical legal advice and partner with business to negotiate complex, high value contracts? We're looking for someone like this to: – support our procurement partner and business colleagues to negotiate and document complex, high value contracts such as business process outsourcing, technology\-related contracts, and real estate leases – advise stakeholders on group policies and procedures for third party and legal risk management – work closely with other legal teams in APAC to deliver holistic and practical advice to our business partners – collaborate with wider working groups including business and enabling functions in cross\-divisional and cross regional initiatives **Job Type** Full Time **Job Reference \#** 335964BR **City** Pune **Your team** You'll be part of a regional team with members based in Hong Kong, Pune, Shanghai, Singapore and Sydney. We’re one of the cross divisional teams in the Group Legal function. We advise our group functions (such as Group Technology and Group Corporate Services) as well as the business divisions (Global Wealth Management, Investment Bank, Asset Management, and Personal \& Corporate Banking) across all APAC locations where our business has presence. Our work covers (among others): – Goods and service procurement contracting – Outsourcing \& Offshoring – Corporate Real Estate – Data center build\-up – IP, Branding \& Marketing **Your expertise** You have: – proven experience in one or more of our coverage areas – excellent drafting and negotiating skills, combined with a good sense of judgment – ability to work collaboratively with others and also independently (and yet know when to escalate) – ability to learn quickly, continually develop, and apply knowledge to achieve commercial outcomes – at least 5 years PQE trained at an international law firm or working in\-house in a global organization. You are: – a strong communicator, comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels and from all different functions – qualified in one of the major jurisdictions in APAC – meticulous with good analytical and project management skills – result\-oriented and assertive (you don’t shy away from challenging situations) – comfortable working in a dynamic and complex environment – collaborative and attentive to organizational governance, policies and culture. **About Us** UBS is a leading and truly global wealth manager and the leading universal bank in Switzerland.
