Construction Field Engineer

**Overview** We are partnered with a general contractor focused on large\-scale commercial construction, delivering high\-volume retail, industrial, and ground\-up projects across Texas and nationally. This role supports field operations out of the College Station office and is responsible for assisting Superintendents and Project Managers with on\-site coordination, documentation, and execution of projects. **Role and Responsibilities** * Support Superintendents with daily field operations, including coordination of subcontractors and site logistics * Assist with layout verification, quality control, and ensuring work is installed per plans and specifications * Manage and track RFIs, submittals, and field documentation to support project progress * Coordinate material deliveries, verify quantities, and ensure proper staging on\-site * Participate in daily huddles and subcontractor coordination meetings * Assist in maintaining project schedules by tracking field progress and identifying potential delays * Perform site walks to monitor safety compliance and quality standards * Document daily reports, site photos, and field conditions for project records * Support punch list development and closeout activities, ensuring timely completion of outstanding items * Work closely with Project Engineers and Project Managers to ensure alignment between field and office operations **Projects \& Scope** * Ground\-up commercial and retail developments * Large\-scale renovation projects in open and occupied environments * Industrial and light industrial facilities * Fast\-track construction with high\-volume rollout programs **Qualifications and Experience** * 1\+ years of experience in commercial construction or internship experience * Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field * Basic understanding of construction drawings and specifications * Interest in field operations and building systems * Strong communication skills and willingness to work in a team environment * Ability to work on active construction sites and adapt to changing conditions * Familiarity with Procore or similar construction software **What’s on Offer** * Competitive base salary * Bonus potential * Medical, dental, vision coverage * 401(k) with company contribution * PTO and company holidays * Hands\-on experience on large\-scale construction projects * Clear career progression into Project Engineer and beyond
