Commercial Lawyer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Lawyer to join a dynamic in\-house legal team on an initial 6\-month contract basis. This role will support a fast\-paced commercial function, partnering closely with sales and business stakeholders to provide pragmatic legal advice across a broad range of commercial matters. **Key Responsibilities** * Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including customer, supplier, partnership, and services contracts * Partner closely with sales teams to support deal structuring and contract negotiations * Provide strategic, risk\-based legal advice to commercial stakeholders in relation to business opportunities and contractual arrangements * Advise on legal and regulatory issues impacting commercial transactions * Support internal stakeholders with contract interpretation, dispute resolution, and ongoing commercial advisory work * Assist with development and improvement of contract templates, playbooks, and legal processes * Collaborate cross\-functionally with procurement, finance, compliance, and operational teams as required **Candidate Profile** * Qualified solicitor/lawyer in England \& Wales or equivalent common law jurisdiction * Significant post\-qualification experience in commercial law, ideally gained in\-house and/or at a leading law firm * Strong experience supporting sales/commercial teams in a business\-facing legal role * Proven ability to negotiate complex commercial contracts independently * Pragmatic, solutions\-oriented approach with strong commercial acumen * Comfortable operating in a fast\-paced, high\-volume environment * Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills **Preferred Experience** * Prior in\-house experience within technology, telecommunications, SaaS, professional services, or other fast\-moving commercial environments * Experience working in multinational or matrixed organisations **About Elevate** Elevate is a global provider of consulting, technology, and services for law departments and law firms.
